OUR PROJECTS

About 360 Photography

A 360-degree photograph is an image which is a controllable panoramic that surrounds the original point from where the shot was taken. It creates a simulation that puts a person into the shoes of the photographer and their location. It allows us to look around everywhere to the left, right, up as well as down, while permitting us to zoom at the same time. What enables us to look around the surrounding environment of the photograph is through a combination of software and several panoramic photos. The photographer lines up the camera shots in a continuous circle which aligns the shots. Once they are taken, they can be uploaded to an application that turns them into a 360-degree photograph. Mobile applications on a smartphone do the same. As they are upload to the internet, they can be played through by software such as Adobe Flash. 360-degree photos have become quite popular on Facebook. Anyone can create 360-degree photos, but they must invest in a purpose built 360-degree camera. These cameras are equipped with two or three lenses each facing in a different direction. The photos are captured by stitching the images captured by the individual lenses to create a full 360-degree image.

Ground based 360-degree Photography

Ground based 360-degree photographs are very effective for showing off internal architecture, vistas and much more in a unique fashion that duplicates the experience of being there. One of the best things about taking 360-degree photos is that they do not require much skill to capture. All you must remember is that the camera will capture everything in the surrounding, so you need to stay out of the view of the lens and make use of the timer feature. An interesting location should be chosen for example, a historical place, a monument or anywhere which is attractive to the human eye. While capturing ground based 360-degree photographs, it is recommended to have a good tripod to ensure stability of the camera. Otherwise, the image might get distorted. Make sure to use a tripod that has little in the way of gears and levers at the top, or else they might be visible in the photo. Another thing to keep in mind is to ensure that there are no objects too close to the lens, which might make it difficult for the software to stitch the images together. The best way to master in capturing 360-degree photographs is to go out in the open and take picture of your surroundings.

Aerial based 360-degree Photography

Aerial based 360-degree photography is done with the use of drones. They go up in the sky and take several pictures that are later stitched through software. Aerial 360-degree photographs allow the viewer to see a large area at a glance. Whether it be an event, holiday park, golf club or any outdoor activity. Aerial 360-degree photographs are fully interactive images which can be uploaded on any social media website or blog. With aerial 360-degree photographs, investors and property owners can take breath taking views of their property just through from their devices.

When it comes to real estate property, the use of aerial based photography can really make a difference as it shows the location of the property as it is one of the main driving forces when it comes to selling it. Being able to go inside the property, moving around from room to room is amazing and the same goes for hotels and resorts. Thanks to aerial based 360-degree photography, it gives a unique outlook to the property and gives the buyer more information about its small but important details.

360-degree aerial based photography is also very useful for construction or home improvement businesses. They are in need of not only the surrounding area of the property, but also the view of certain unreachable points that are only reached through drones. This will help in surveying the land. Sometimes there is a need to survey the roof of a house or any structure on the roof. A precise and detailed bird’s eye view of the house through drones can massively help.

Aerial based 360-degree Photography for Business

As said before, aerial 360-degree photographs offer the viewers a very unique perspective. Whether it is a real estate business or a restaurant, 360-degree photography gives viewers the chance to take a look at what all prospects are being undertaken surrounding the place of business. This shall allow people to take a look and know the entire area and not just the property.

Aerial based 360-degree photographs can also be put in the image gallery of your business on Google Maps. It will allow people to not only look at your business and its dealings, but also the neighbourhood it is in and the businesses around it. It will enable people to plan an entire trip before coming to your business and guide them to make more stops to places nearby as they please. People will be able to see the surrounding roads and interstates which will give them a better idea to your exact location.

VR Tour Creation

A virtual tour is a simulation of a pre-existing location that is usually composed of a sequence of videos or still images. It is a full motion video of a particular location. It uses a video camera and the location is filmed at walking pace while moving continuously from one point to another through the location. The process of creating a VR tour creation is only about shooting several photos with a very wide-angle lens or even a fisheye, slightly overlapping each other, making it easier to stitch them together. For stitching, a dedicated panorama software is used. Another option to create VR tours is to use a 360-degree dedicated device like the Ricoh Theta SC. The main downside in them being that they provide a lower quality image. A panoramic head of a spherical type is necessary in order to shoot a whole scene from the floor to the roof. In the final result, the tripod will not be visible. Below are the before and after stitching images.
